Acceptable use, plainly stated.
SPEAQ ID is a sovereign identity tool. Sovereignty is not a licence to harm others. This page sets out what is forbidden, what to do if you notice abuse, and how authorities can reach us.
This page is published in English. Translations follow on partner request.
What is forbidden
- Impersonation. Do not present a credential as another natural or legal person.
- Fraud. Do not use SPEAQ ID to obtain money, services, or access under false pretenses.
- Sanctions evasion. Do not use SPEAQ ID to circumvent EU, US, or UN sanctions.
- Credential laundering. Do not present a credential issued to you in a context where it cannot apply (for example a teacher credential to obtain medical authority).
- Harassment of issuers. Do not abuse the verification flow to denial-of-service issuers or platforms.
Notice-and-action
If you believe a SPEAQ ID is being used for any of the above, send a notice to frank@plexaris.com with the subject line SPEAQ ID Abuse. Include:
- The DID involved (if known)
- The platform on which abuse was observed
- A description of the alleged behaviour
- Your contact details for follow-up (optional but useful)
We acknowledge notices within 7 days. If the report is substantiated and within our scope, we revoke the SDK-key for the issuing party and publish an aggregated record in our annual transparency report.
Enforcement
SPEAQ ID is an intermediary identity layer. We do not operate the platforms that consume it. Final-instance enforcement is with each platform and with the relevant authority. We cooperate fully with lawful requests under EU and Dutch law.
